# Is Emolysis free?

> There is a Free plan at $0, and because it is bring your own key, you pay your model provider directly and Emolysis charges nothing for it.

There is a Free plan, and it costs $0. It is bring your own key: you add a key from the model provider you choose, pay that provider for what you use, and pay Emolysis nothing. Like every plan, it is an Emolysis account.

Free includes the local engine, DuckDB with a local lakehouse per project, one platform connection, the core templates, the MCP server for editors and coding agents, and the public sample projects (planned). On Free, dashboards are built on your machine; publishing shared dashboards is part of the paid plans.

You may still have two costs billed by other companies: your model provider, for the requests the agent makes with your key, and your data platform, for the compute your deployed pipelines use.
