FAQ

Can I use Emolysis from my editor or coding agent?

Yes, the MCP server, emo mcp, lets any editor or coding agent that supports MCP use the same commands as the desktop app, with one config entry.

Answer

Yes. Emolysis includes an MCP server, emo mcp, so any editor or coding agent that supports the Model Context Protocol can use the same commands as the desktop app. Adding it takes one configuration entry.

Setup buttons on the web dashboard that write that entry for you are planned. Ready-made skills cover common requests, such as a dashboard from a question or a pipeline for a given shape. The setup configs are public on GitHub in emolysis/integrations.

The MCP server needs an Emolysis account, as every use of Emolysis does; the Free plan is one. Signed in, it also works on local files on DuckDB, with no platform connected. See the MCP server docs and the tutorial preview.
